I know I just posted on how I add crochet edgings to blankets, but SewChic has a much better tutorial. Updated to add: She now has instructions on how to use a serger and sewing machine to simplify things tremendously. I’ve wanted to try this, but don’t have a serger.
I will say that the wing needle has next to no effect on fleece, so that particular method won’t work so well if adding a border to a fleece blanket.
And no more worries about where all these blankets-in-progress are going to go, as we’ve just discovered that we have TWO new babies due in the family! My older brother and his wife are expecting their second in March, and E’s older brother and his wife are due with their fifth in January!

Aw, thanks!
Your fleece blanket (posted previously) is beautiful!

I
I don’t use a serger on mine. I just turn the edge twice and baste it by hand and then when I am done with the crochet I pull the basting out.
