Dove/Mama
Christian homemaker and wife to my best friend and husband E. I love to cook from scratch, set a beautiful table, listen to audiobooks or read, manage our home, crochet, and play with the kids. Dove in the Rock (from SoS 2:14) was my online nickname used exclusively with E since we began dating, because our church group was studying Song of Solomon at the time. Contact us at:
E/Daddy
Excellent husband, computer-guy extraordinaire, and resident tickle monster. Great for piggyback rides, bear hugs, and kissing boo-boos. Enjoys animal husbandry, gardening, and Jim Henson’s Muppets, particularly the Fraggles.
Lou
Blond-haired, blue-eyed four year old. Enthusiasm is this kid’s middle name, as she does everything with gusto! In conversation, she likes to fill in pantomime for words she doesn’t know. Impulsive and exuberant, Lou adores animals of all kinds but prefers the living ones to the toys. Joined our family at birth through foster-adoption.
JuneBug
Three years old, dark-eyed brunette. Her love language is cuddling. Bug loves music and sings constantly, much to Lou’s consternation. She is a nurturing soul and will equally dote upon a dolly, a kitty, or (her preference) a real baby. Also joined our family at birth through foster-adoption.
Doozer
Almost two, greenish eyes and wispy blond hair. Very industrious when set upon a task, hence the nickname Doozer. He loves to rough-house and is usually the instigator of a zerbet-fest, blowing wet raspberries on his sisters’ tummies at any opportunity. Likes to collect rocks and run when out-of-doors. Our first “homegrown” or biological child.
“Pumpkin”
Our latest development, baby Pumpkin’s gender will be a surprise upon arrival in fall 2008. We’ve already heard the heartbeat to confirm that all is well! Birthday Sept/Oct ‘08.
Poppy
Dove’s dad, doting grandfather, loves gardening and the outdoors. He likes to help the kids practice numbers, ABC’s, and such. Built our country home when Dove was a child and loves to hear his grandchildren’s laughter ringing through it.
